The “Tulare County Fair Demonstration Project” was created to do the overhaul and upgrade of CAL
FIRE’s demonstration area located at the Tulare County Fairgrounds. Nearly 22,000 attended the 2024 TC Fair
from all over Central California and beyond. Most of these attendees are drawn to CAL FIRE’s educational /
interactive display located in the very center of the grounds. The display was dated and in need of updates and upgrades. As a result, the display has been completly rebuilt and is an opportunity to greatly exhibit and deliver an even more powerful educational message to the visiting public about fire safety and defensible spaces.

The thousands of visitors, many of whom are residents in the at-risk mountain communities, will enjoy their experience and take away the educational message of “ Fire Safety” and "Defensible Space".
